The Partners in Education program is designed to create a close, working relationship between a community organization and a school or specific program within the Knox County School System.  The purpose of this program is to enrich and expand the educational opportunities of Knox County students, while fostering a deeper understanding of the school system within the community.

Through the establishment of personal relationships between community leaders and educators, the goal of Partners in Education is to create a spirit of involvement that has a positive impact on Knox County.  This involvement helps develop the local school environment into a powerful educational setting where community members are working actively with students.

Partners in Education encourages community leaders to take a greater interest in the Knox County School System.  This program opens school doors to the community while providing an opportunity to better prepare students to succeed in an ever-changing world.

The Knox County School System seeks to partner with organizations that have a desire to contribute to the education of the 56,000 students across the district.  Some areas of the community that are already participating include:  businesses (both local and national), civic clubs, government agencies (federal, state and local), professional organizations, churches, organizations at colleges and universities and nonprofit agencies.

This list is not restrictive, however.
The Knox County School System will gladly welcome any group of concerned community leaders who want to invest their time, talent and resources in students.

Partners In Education Program activities are supported through a grant provided by the Knoxville Area Association of Realtors.

Peyback Foundation Makes Gifts to Families
Peyton Manning's Peyback Foundation recently made a contribution of nearly $16,000 in gas gift cards to families in 14 of Knox County's elementary schools. The $30 gas cards were distributed to families in an economic bind during the holiday season.

This is the fifth consecutive year that the Peyback Foundation has made this contribution. With the recent donation, Manning and his Foundation have contributed over $90,000 to families in need in the Knoxville community. Manning, who starred as the starting quarterback at the University of Tennessee in the mid to late 1990's, has a history of volunteering at one of the 14 schools receiving the gift cards.

The Knox County School System thanks Peyton Manning for his continued support within our community.
