Schools and Employers Showcase Career Opportunities at the 2013 Knox County Schools Career Day
The annual Knox County Schools Career Day was held at the Knoxville Expo Center, from 4:00 PM until 7:30 PM,on Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Employers from a wide variety of career areas were on display throughout the exhibition hall. In addition, colleges and universities were in attendance to showcase their programs.
The 2013 Career Day was the 20th year of the event to bring area employers together to share information about careers in their particular organization or industry. Employers brought equipment and set up interactive displays to engage students in the discussion about career options.
Employers who wish to showcase their company during the 2014 Career Day, may do so by contacting Scott Bacon at the Knox County Schools Public Affairs Office, 594-1909, or at scott.bacon@knoxschools.org.

Schooled For Success is the district’s career program for all 4,000 eighth-grade students. The program includes an in-school portfolio, community wide career fair, electronic self-assessment and summer internships. Area businesses can participate by sharing information at the career fair and by hosting students for a two-day internship in late May after the school year has ended.
